Product Description:
Surround Sound Flexibility with Award‐Winning Performance
The A 31 power amplifier has been developed to meet the growing demand for a robust three-channel amplifier that does not compromise on power or performance. Mirroring the performance and sound quality of the award-winning Halo A 51, the A 31 is versatile in its applications:
Ideal for powering the front three channels of a home theater system, it allows the surround or back channels to be driven by a smaller 2-channel Parasound power amp, like the Halo A 23. This configuration ensures that the most power is delivered to the front channels where it's most needed.
It can also be used to drive the center and two surround channels, leaving the left and right front speakers to be powered by a dedicated two-channel power amp such as the Halo A 21, or even better, two JC 1 monoblocks. This setup is perfect for audiophiles who do not want to compromise on stereo sound quality.
In an AV receiver-based system, the A 31 can power the front three channels, while the receiver drives the remaining surround and back channels. This guarantees superior sound quality for the front channels and allows the AVR to more effectively power the surround and back channels.
Regardless of how you choose to use the A 31, you'll be impressed by its impeccable sonic performance, commanding presence, and its ability to faithfully reproduce even the subtlest details.
