This is only cosmetic, and does not affect the performance our sound of the cartridge or turntable. Cosmetically, it is not readily visible from your listening position and does not detract from the overall wonderful appearance.

Only used for 25 hours per the original owner. This turntable comes with a factory mounted Aphelion 2 Moving Coil cartridge ($4650 Value, total MSRP with cartridge $10,995). The body of the cartridge does have some cracking around the bottom screw (see photos), but this is only cosmetic, and does not affect the performance our sound of the cartridge or turntable.
