Pure-iron cross-armature design

Employing a novel pure-iron cross-armature design, the copper windings in the Eroica HX benefit from a permeable path for the parallel magnetic field, leading to increased output and precise impedance matching. Furthermore, this cross-shaped design enables superior separation of left and right stereo channels compared to the moving magnet alternative.

Gyger II diamond stylus

The Eroica HX features a Gyger II diamond stylus with a minute five-micron playing radius, allowing it to track frequencies as high as 50kHz without distortion. Coupled with the low mass of the cross-armature, this stylus can respond to musical transients with utmost precision.

Light but rigid Pocan® housing

As expected, the mechanism of the Eroica HX is delicate. To ensure full protection, Goldring encases it in a lightweight, rigid, and aesthetically pleasing housing made from Pocan®. In addition to its advantages of being lightweight and stiff, Pocan® has no impact on the sound produced by the cartridge.

Compatible with all tonearm designs

The Eroica HX is compatible with virtually all tonearms, regardless of whether they are straight, S-shaped, or J-shaped, and regardless of whether they are made from aluminum or carbon fiber. Its standard size fitment allows for mounting using standard fixings, either from above or below the headshell.
