Cosmetic Description: 6/10 Good overall condition and appearance with some visible cosmetic wear including wear and tape residue on the strap, scuffs and missing buttons on the leather case, light scratches and scuffs on the dustcover, deterioration of pulley rubber, and mild corrosion in the underside battery compartment and on part of the metal surface.  This item shows some wear consistent with its age but is still presentable and sounds wonderful.

Other Notes: "Recorder SP7 is a modular recorder where electronic modules and head block can be easily changed. Mono and stereo recorders can be made with the same basic structure. Frequency response is flat (± 2 dB between 30 Hz and 16 kHz). Some versions have a better upper frequency response (Stellamaster SM7 reaches 28 kHz). Mono versions have a S/N of 70 dB. Recorder SP7 is within a case made of a machined block of aluminum. This recorder was an alternative to Nagra tape recorders; in a smaller shape and with an equivalent state of art mechanics and electronics. SP7 have 4 tape speeds (ranging from 9,5 cm/s to 76 cm/s), extremely well controlled by an electronic servo system." - Radio Museum
