Ultra-light

The Planar 6 builds on the tremendous success of the RP8 and RP10 turntables. It is the first new Rega turntable to feature an ultra-lightweight Tancast 8 polyurethane foam core plinth, a material originally developed for the aerospace industry. This core is sandwiched between a new high pressure laminate (HPL), which is exceptionally thin yet extremely rigid, presented in a stunning Polaris matt gray finish with a high gloss polymer black edge trim.

The Planar 6 also includes a single-piece machined aluminum sub-platter, a new 24 V motor that is hand-tuned and matched to its own Neo power supply, and a custom drive pulley equipped with an upgraded drive belt as standard.

RB330 Tonearm

The RB330 tonearm, crafted with the latest 3D CAD and CAM technology, represents the pinnacle of over 35 years of tonearm design expertise. It boasts a brand new bearing housing and a state-of-the-art tonearm tube, designed with intelligent mass redistribution to minimize potential resonance points. The new high precision bearing assemblies provide extreme stability and nearly frictionless movement, ensuring that this tonearm extracts more information from vinyl records than ever before.

Plinth

The super lightweight foam core plinth features a new Polaris HPL (high pressure laminate) with a non-marking, scratch-resistant, high rigidity skin. It is available in a single finish: a 'Polaris Grey' matt finish with a high gloss black polymer edge trim.

Double Brace Technology

Rega’s double brace technology, with integral custom matched aluminium tonearm and hub pillars to ensure maximum rigidity and accuracy.

Custom Matched Neo TTPSU and 24V Motor

New high spec Rega 24 V low noise synchronous motor – each motor matched by hand to its own Neo Mk2 PSU ensuring optimum anti-vibration control.
