Rega asked themselves, how do they make their most successful turntable sound even better, easier to use, and more accessible for a wider audience? The answer was clear; they integrated a custom-designed, high-quality moving magnet phono stage, drawing inspiration from the acclaimed What Hi-Fi? 5 Star Fono Mini.

Every aspect of the Planar 1 PLUS underwent meticulous design to elevate performance. Featuring a bespoke 24 V, low-noise synchronous motor to minimize vibration, paired with the hand-made RB110 tonearm equipped with Rega-designed ultra-low friction bearings. Additionally, they introduced the latest drive belt technology, the EBLT belt, ensuring greater accuracy and improved speed performance. For those considering a return to vinyl and seeking enduring performance, their solution is the ultimate choice.

Built-In Phono Stage

The built-in phono stage serves as a high-specification pre-amplifier, meticulously designed to amplify the signal from a moving magnet cartridge to a suitable level for all line-level inputs of compatible systems or audio amplifiers. This facilitates straightforward connectivity to a diverse range of products, utilizing either the standard twin phono to phono lead (provided) or phono to 3.5 mm plug (not provided).

Tonearm

The new RB110 tonearm features the latest Rega-designed bespoke ultra-low friction bearings (patent pending). This innovative design incorporates a new bias assembly and integrated arm clip, complete with automatic bias adjustment, eliminating the need for users to manually set bias. This makes it the most 'plug & play' turntable ever manufactured by us. Additionally, the ergonomically designed headshell enhances usability and appearance for an improved user experience.

24V Synchronous Motor

Planar 1 features a 24 V synchronous AC motor, coupled with a new motor PCB and aluminum pulley for reduced noise and enhanced speed stability.

Drive Belt

Advanced EBLT drive belt supplied as standard for improved speed performance and accuracy.

Plinth

The brand-new matt finish and Walnut effect option boasts vastly improved aesthetics and an ergonomically positioned on/off switch located on the underside. Choose from three stunning plinth finishes: matt black, matt white, and Walnut effect.

Central Bearing Housing

The performance brass main bearing is engineered to provide an improved fit and alleviate stress on the bearing while minimizing the transfer of potential energy (patent pending).

Platter

23 mm, higher mass, phenolic platter with improved flywheel effect for improved speed stability.

Isolation

Rega’s latest design foot assembly increases stability and reduces vibration transfer.

Balance Weight
