Other Notes: TAD Evolution One: a superb speaker system that further expands the possibilities of the single point source. It inherits the TAD Reference One DNA, yet blazes its own trail. With an innovative shape, it delivers totally satisfying, sublime sound quality.
The heart of the TAD Evolution One is the CST* Driver developed from that used in the TAD Reference One, a driver that embodies the single point source concept. The midrange and tweeter are configured coaxially so their directional characteristics conform. The resultant directional response remains uniform across a wide frequency, ensuring extremely stable sound localization and a natural sound field.
As a woofer requires a high degree of both stability and strength, TAD developed the MACS* diaphragm, made by laminating many layers of Aramid fabric and non-woven fabric for light weight and high stiffness. This shell-shaped diaphragm with an integrated center cap and cone is driven by a large diameter voice coil and neodymium magnet, reproducing rich, clear bass with low coloration. The aero-design chassis is designed to minimize any airflow noise and improve the resolution of bass sounds."
