Beyond the entry to high-end analog, the Clearaudio Concept Dark Wood adds a solid baltic-birch multiple ply plinth with dark stain and either the Satisfy Black or Satisfy Carbon Fiber tonearms. The result is a turntable combining classic appearance with real high-end dynamics and musicality.

It builds upon the strong features of the Concept: Belt-driven POM platter with weighted rim for enhanced flywheel effect; Isolated 12v DC Motor with electronic speed selection and rear-mounted speed calibration; Aluminum sub-platter coupled to a polished and sintered steel bearing shaft with bronze bushings and mirror polished Teflon thrust pad.

The Concept Wood is equipped with the Satisfy Black or Satisfy Carbon Fiber tonearm, both featuring a 3-point mechanical bearing, magnetic anti-skate, and hard-wired tonearm cable. The Concept Wood is belt-driven by a low-noise, decoupled DC motor built into the baltic birch plinth. The platter is made of 30mm-thick polymer (POM), an engineering thermoplastic with a weighted rim for increased fly-wheel effect, providing greater speed stability. The Concept Wood plays at three speeds – 33rpm, 45rpm, and 78rpm – selectable by the Electronic Speed Control knob.
