Yamaha DSP-300 Digital Sound Field Processor / Surround Amplifier

This is a very interesting piece of gear. You can plug in any 2 channel source and create a number of surround modes utilizing the built-in amplification for 5 speakers plus a passive subwoofer output. It's the predecessor to your modern-day home theater receivers. It may be outdated by today's standards... I certainly can't call it "state of the art". BUT, it sounds outstanding and does some really cool stuff. You can feed your music into it from something as simple as an ipod and enjoy fully customizable effects such as Hall, Opera House, Jazz Club etc. Great for movies too.
