Sony TC-788-4 Vintage Reel to Reel Recorder / Tape Deck AS-IS

This unit is coming from the original owner after having been in storage for many years. It is powering up and looks great, but it is not fully functional at this time and as such is being offered AS-IS for parts / repair only. Everything seems to be in very well preserved condition. the pinch rollers are firm and all of the visible parts looks very clean. However, the whole assembly holding the rollers is very stiff and the pinch rollers do not move up and down freely. Otherwise, once that is fixed I believe this will be a very good working unit in close to mint condition.

Cosmetic condition is excellent. There's some light wear on the face but it's very, very clean overall. See photos for details.
