Sony TC-730 Vintage Reel to Reel Recorder; AS-IS

This unit is coming from the original owner. At the time of acquisition, he told us that it was working perfectly. Back at the shop, I plugged it in and there's no power. He didn't seem like the type to make stuff up and everything else he had worked great... all from the same era. I am assuming that there's a simple cause behind the lack of power, but beyond checking the main fuse... I have not made any attempt to diagnose or repair. I just don't have the time or expertise. Offering AS-IS for parts / repair only.

Cosmetic condition is very good. No major cosmetic blemishes visible. The heads look good and the pinch roller is firm. I am hoping someone can bring this vintage beauty back to life! We even have the original owner's manual for this one. See photos for details.
