Pioneer SX-1250 Vintage AM / FM Stereo Receiver; Fully Restored

This classic receiver is in excellent condition both functionally and cosmetically. Original manual, schematics and warranty card are included. I am looking very closely at the face and do not see any blemishes. There are a couple of light scratches along the top rail and on the top of the metal part of the case... all the way at the back.

All of the lights are working and there is no noise from any of the switches or controls.This receiver has been completely gone through by a competent technician. The amplifier and power sections have been completely restored which included replacing all of the electrolytic capacitors on both amp boards, the stabilizer board, the protection board and the power supply board. Appropriate, high quality Nichicon caps were used throughout. The large filter caps have been replaced. All of this work results in a marked improvement in sound.

Also replaced, were all of the transistors on the stabilizer board and the transistors plus the diodes in the protection circuit. These are common areas of failure on these receivers. Another area of failure is the variable resistors used to adjust the settings for the amplifier, which can result in them shorting out. All of these have been replaced. The phono section caps have been replaced as well for improved vinyl performance. All controls have been deoxed and lamps and meters working as they should.

This is the one you want if you're looking for a classic monster receiver that is ready to plug and play and enjoy at a high level of performance.
