Pioneer CS-R700 Vintage 3-way Speakers

These speakers sound phenomenal. Bass is deep and tight. Mid-range is very fluid. Highs are extremely detailed and clear. In fact, both tweeters were upgraded by the previous owner. We actually have 2 pairs of these speakers available from the same owner... all with the same upgraded tweeters. The tweeters are not a perfect fit in the cabinet physically. But sonically... wow - you will be pleased.

These speakers sound great will all kinds of music. Right now, I am listening to Sonny Stitt. The sax sounds as live as I have ever heard, and the separation between the instruments is outstanding. Switching from jazz to Rock n' Roll, these speakers don't skip a beat. Terrific all around speakers for all types of music.

Cosmetically, there are a few nicks in the cabinets and a couple small frays in the grill cloth. Also the tweeter potentiometer has been replaced on one speaker... the replacement is larger than the original but works fine. Some of the pots were a little bit scratchy when turned... may need another shot of deoxit to work perfectly.

Overall, these are some outstanding vintage speakers that compete with the best of the best of the era sonically. At this price, you can't beat them.
