Offered today by The Music Room: One pair of Nelson Reed 804-1-B speakers. These speaker are absolutely stunning performers. They will hold their own in every category with the very best of the best. Previous owner replaced a set of B&W Matrix 801 Series 2 with these speakers. He has a pretty discerning ear, and he claims that the B&W's are not even close. After listening to these, I would have to agree.

This set was previously owned by an audiophile / collector who has worked in the industry for years. He was driving these speakers with a classic amplifier - the Marantz 500 (very nice combo). They have never been over-driven or abused in any way and are working wonderfully.

Cosmetic condition - These speakers are in exceptional condition. We just got them back from "Schott in the Dark Speaker Restoration" where they underwent a light refinishing and brand new grill cloth was installed. Internal electronics were inspected and tested and a thorough listening session performed. There is some very minor damage at the bottom of each of the cabinets - 90% out of sight - either at the back of the cabinet or at the very bottom. This is completely out of sight... you'll have to almost turn the speakers upside down to find it. The grill cloth is brand new... just installed.
