Cosmetic Description: 7/10 Very good cosmetic condition with some minor visible cosmetic wear including a visible nick above the tuning dial on the right top front edge of the faceplate. There is a two inch vertical scratch on the left side. This item does show a few blemishes but is attractive overall and has been well cared for.

Functional Notes: Operational condition of this item is excellent… fully tested and no issues found.

Service History: Recapped with all Elna Silmic II, and Nichicon Muse / Finegold series electrolytics except for main Electrolytics, that were replaced with caps purchased from McIntosh. A few leaky transistors in the preamp section were also changed, using McIntosh sourced parts.

Other Notes: "McIntosh electronics certainly had the cachet and their 1900 receiver did nothing to sully that reputation. It was quite arguably the first “high end” receiver of the modern equipment era, where the specs/price ratio was not as important as the build quality, company reputation, and perceived sonic superiority."
