Offered today by The Music Room: One pair of Marantz Model 9 amplifiers. These classic amplifiers are coming from the estate of the original owner. They have been meticulously cared for since new. They were part of a complete Marantz system comprised of the Model 9 amps, Model 7 Preamp and 10b tuner - the system was the prized possession of its owner. Even the original sales brochure, tags, receipts, service receipts and shipping boxes were retained. Any needed service was always done at the factory. These amplifiers are working perfectly. It really is a special experience listening to them... especially with some of the music of the era.

The serial numbers are not consecutive, but they are very close. One of the original amplifiers was sent to the factory for service within the first year of ownership. Rather than repair it, Marantz sent out a brand new replacement to the owner. Thus, the gap in the serial numbers and the cosmetic differences in the shipping boxes.

Cosmetic condition is excellent - These amplifiers are in outstanding condition cosmetically. From you listening position, they look brand new. Always operated in a smoke-free home... they have the shine and glimmer of a brand new set. Under close examination and bright lighting you can see some very minimal wear. One amplifier does have a fine scratch on the faceplate. Again, it is not terribly noticeable unless you're up close looking under bright lights. Otherwise, there is just some very light surface wear on each amp. These are about as close to "mint" as you can find.
