Magnepan Tympani III B Speakers; Rare Find!

Offered today by The Music Room: One original pair of Magnepan Tympani III B Speakers. This product has passed all of our rigorous quality assurance testing and is performing wonderfully. These speakers have a unique story. They were originally owned by James Bongiorno - a legendary audio engineer who recently passed away (Ampzilla, SAE, GAS, SUMO etc). These speakers were given to him back in '76 as a gift. He never used them. They sat untouched in his warehouse for 35+ years. A few years ago, he traded them to another figure in the audio industry who used only the bass panels. The bass panels were used in a testing / demonstration room for 3 years. The midrange / tweeter panels were never used (outside of our breif testing). Unfortunately, the original external crossover was not delivered to the previous owner (he did not require them as he was only using the bass panels). Thankfully, Magnepan still offers these parts. However, the crossover would need to be assembled and placed in a case of some kind. They only stock the parts... not the whole crossover. We ordered these parts, and they are included with the sale. Shipping: Shipping within the Continental USA is approximately $249 . This includes securing to a pallet with adequate protection and shipping via FedEx Freight to a residential address anywhere in the Continental USA. This rate can be reduced by $60 if a commercial delivery address available or if item can be picked up at nearest FedEx Freight depot. FedEx Freight charges a residential delivery fee otherwise which is included in our flat rate charge.

Cosmetic condition rating: 7/10 Very good cosmetic condition with some minor visible cosmetic wear including some light fraying of the grill cloth on tops and bottoms of panels.
