Magnepan MG-iib Magnetic Planar Floorstanding Speakers

These speakers are being offered as-is. They are working well and sound phenomenal with one small exception. If you enjoy listening to very bass-heavy music, you will experience some distortion / rattling with very low bass notes. I listened to a wide variety of music at loud volumes before finding a track that produced this issue. It was an XX song... very low synthesized bass notes. Also some of the club / dance music tracks I played caused this issue. Everything else sounded fine... great actually. So, if you plan to listen to bass-heavy music, you'll want to use an external crossover and subwoofer with these.

Cosmetically, these look pretty good but certainly not perfect. One speaker has a tear in the grill cloth. Both have heavy wear on the bases... looks like these were painted over at some point - there is some bubbling under the paint. See photos for details.

Shipping - we know how to pack and ship these. We have appropriate sized boxes and plenty of experience shipping these. The box will be very large - oversized. Thus, the high shipping charge.
