Offered today by The Music Room: One pair of Hales Signature System 2 Speakers. These are amazing speakers - absolutely world-class performance. In many years in this business, I've wrapped my knuckles against a few thousand speaker cabinets. These are the most solidly built speakers I've ever come across. The baffle is literally 4 inches thick! I could go on and on about all of the amazing engineering that went into the design of these speakers, but Robert Harley says it so much better in his review of these speakers. This particular set of speakers was acquired from the original owner after having been stored for many years. The finish looked a little aged and the grills were broken. We took these speakers to "Schott in the Dark Speaker Restoration" here in Denver for a makeover. They now look as stunning as they sound. The exterior received a light sanding and refinish. Also, rather than try to repair the grill which most listeners would not use anyway, the holes for the grills were filled in and the entire front of the speaker re-veneered. This gives the speakers a much cleaner, more elegant look. All speaker binding posts were upgraded on the speakers as well as the crossovers to modern 5-way binding posts. These are top-notch quality - pure copper.
