Cosmetic Description: Fair overall condition and appearance with some visible cosmetic wear including a small indentation in the dust cap on one woofer, but this is purely cosmetic and only noticeable from up close. It does not affect the sound or performance. There are also some light scratches and nicks on both baffles, surface scuffing and swirling on the top surfaces, and a few other minor nicks around the cabinets. One footer is missing the top piece of its badging as well. This pair of speakers does show a few blemishes, but still presents beautifully from your listening position.

Service History: Speakers were replaced (with Torrent Two drivers) in July, 2023. The drivers came from Totem and were installed at Gramophone Audio in Timonium, MD.

Other Notes: "The Metal is a very low distortion device with enormous headroom. It maintains its aural balance no matter how low or high you set the volume (not a common characteristic of loudspeakers). It has the ability to play much louder without distortion than any of the speakers I have compared it with, and it images extremely well.
