"The Schiit Aegir takes the spirit of a Class A amp and pushes it further with Schiit’s unique Continuity™ topology, originally developed for the Schiit Lyr 3. By eliminating transconductance droop and balancing NPN/PNP devices on both rails, it extends Class A behavior beyond the usual bias region. The result is a hot-running, over 10W Class A–biased design delivering 20W per channel into 8 ohms (40W into 4), or 80W mono.

Sonically, Aegir is “lit from within,” with a velvety, engaging midrange, natural timbre, and smooth, forgiving highs. Vocals shine, bass is deep and rich, and the presentation is fatigue-free and musical rather than analytical. It pairs best with speakers over 90dB sensitivity—think efficient monitors or horn designs—where it rewards with tube-like warmth and exceptional value."
