”Penaudio’s Cenya is a finely crafted Finnish 2-way monitor that delivers a powerful, musical performance far beyond its small footprint. With a ported—bass reflex—cabinet built from birch plywood and MDF, and premium Seas drivers (a 6-inch magnesium-cone mid/woofer plus a cloth-dome tweeter), the Cenya blends transparency, sweetness, and dynamic contrast beautifully. Vocals are especially compelling: natural, forward yet never harsh. The treble is silky and detailed; the midrange is lucid and emotionally engaging. Bass is surprisingly solid for a small monitor—tight, musical, not overblown—but you may want a subwoofer if you want deep-room-shaking lows. They scale well with good amplification, and when positioned properly (away from walls, on solid stands, tweeters near ear height), they create an expansive soundstage with excellent imaging.”
