Cosmetic Description: Very good condition with minimal visible cosmetic wear including some minor abrasions on the top and sides of the cover plate, and a couple of nicks along the top front edge, and barely visible marks on the front surface, of the faceplate on the main unit. The power supply has a couple of barely visible nicks on the top rear edge. Despite these minor blemishes, the unit presents well and sounds great.

“The ModWright PH 9.0X is a true statement phono stage: it builds on the already excellent PH 9.0 and adds Lundahl gapped output transformers (eliminating coupling capacitors and certain chokes) for greater authority, bass weight, spatial depth, and lower distortion. With front-panel controls you get MM/MC switch-over, real-time loading for MC cartridges, and attenuations (0, -6, -12 dB) so you can tune match with many cartridges. The tube complement (6C45 + 6922 family) delivers a lush midband and liquid treble while still maintaining a surprising grip in the lows. The external power supply keeps heat and hum away from the signal box; the included “Truth Umbilical” (the 6-ft 4-pin XLR umbilical cable) ensures clean, solid connection between power unit and phono stage.
