This amplifier is originally spec'd for KT88 output tubes, but the supplied tubes are KT120. Because of the slight height difference between KT88 and KT120, the tube cage rests on top of the KT120 tubes when installed. The manufacturer has cleared the use of KT120, but does not recommend operating the amplifier with the cage in place if it is resting on the tubes.
