Cosmetic Description: 7/10 Very good cosmetic condition with some minor visible cosmetic wear including some light scuffs on the top surface and top edges of the heatsink fins. The back two corner posts have a few nicks on top. There is one screw missing from the top of the case. This item shows some wear consistent with its age but is still very attractive and sounds wonderful.

Other Notes: "The CA-301 benefits greatly from a trickle-down of technology and represents a long step forward in amplifier design. Each channel of the amplifier is balanced from input to output, much like an OMEGA, and the amplifier has an oversized, extremely well regulated power supply, again much like an OMEGA. The power supply of a CA-301 includes a massive, shielded toroidal transformer and a large number of small capacitors. We use large collections of small capacitors because they "drain" and "refill" very rapidly and completely, supplying voltage when required. A faster, cleaner power supply allows us a higher degree of accurate voltage regulation throughout the circuitry. This ensures that no matter what program material is being played at whatever level, the voltages at the various stages of amplification will remain constant."
