Cosmetic Description: 6/10 Good overall condition and appearance with some visible cosmetic wear including a couple of rear heat sink fins that are bent inward, a downward bend to the rear plate of the amplifier, and a slightly bent bottom plate which causes one of the amplifier feet to stand off the ground by a couple millimeters. There are indentations on the top front corners of the amplifier, and nicks and scuffs around the faceplate and top surface. This item does show a few blemishes but is attractive overall and has been well cared for.

Clearly, it is a good choice for driving the most difficult speaker loads, especially those presenting a low or highly reactive load impedance. It is hard to imagine a speaker load that would overtax the GFA-555II in a home system no matter how loud you like your music. In the interests of speaker (and personal!) survival, we never tried to push it to its limits in our listening tests." - HiFi Classic
