Product Description:
High Sound Quality Circuit Design Based on the ToP-ART (Total Purity Audio Reproduction Technology) Concept
The ToP-ART (Total Purity Audio Reproduction Technology) design, coupled with the ART (Anti-Resonance and Tough) Base, guarantees optimal sound quality by maintaining a simple and direct processing and transmission path, minimizing the chance of noise and distortion. Yamaha's amplifier design technology employs an I/O (input to output) Direct Symmetrical Design, organizing the left and right channels in a straight, symmetrical layout to uphold the highest signal purity.
Furthermore, the ART Base bottom chassis and solid center bar provide robust support and vibration damping, enhancing high-rigidity support. These innovative Yamaha design elements contribute to the amplifier's rich audio reproduction and abundant musicality, ensuring an exceptional listening experience.
High Strength Chassis Contributes to High Density Sound and Pure Audio Reproduction
Custom-made power transformer, custom-made block capacitors, two direct signal path speaker relays, one-point grounding system, aluminum-extruded heat sinks, and other top-quality components are seamlessly integrated to effortlessly handle demanding audio signal conditions. The sound quality of any component is fundamentally determined by the quality and synergy of its individual parts. Yamaha employs only the highest quality parts, meticulously selected and tested, to ensure optimal performance and exceptional sound reproduction in every component.
High-Quality Parts for Outstanding Audio Performance
Notice the custom-made power transformer, custom-made block capacitors, two direct signal path speaker relays, one-point grounding system, extruded aluminum heat sinks, and other top-quality parts meticulously integrated to effortlessly handle demanding audio conditions. The sound quality of this component is fundamentally determined by the quality and synergy of each individual part. Yamaha adheres to the highest standards, using only very high-quality parts that are carefully selected and rigorously tested for their sound properties, ensuring exceptional performance and fidelity.
Created by Rich Experience, Tradition, and High Technological Expertise
With a musical instrument-making heritage spanning over 125 years, Yamaha has earned a stellar reputation for its Hi-Fi components. The A-S301 amplifier is a testament to the culmination of this rich experience and high technological expertise. Built upon the concept of "Natural Sound," which aims to faithfully reproduce music as it truly sounds, this amplifier is crafted with meticulous care, from its circuit design to its fundamental sound production.
Pure Direct Mode for Greater Sound Purity
The Pure Direct mode enables music signals to travel the shortest possible circuit route, bypassing the buffer amp, tone, loudness, and balance controls. This bypass effectively eliminates any potential signal degradation, ensuring the purest sound quality possible.
Continuous Variable Loudness Control
The A-S301 also boasts a new analog loudness control on the front panel, utilizing electronic volume for enhanced sound quality, allowing you to adjust the loudness effect to your preference. Distinct from the overall volume control, this feature adjusts the balance of low and high-frequency sounds, providing a full tonal range at any volume level. This compensation accounts for the natural loss of high and low frequencies at soft levels in the human ear, ensuring a balanced and immersive listening experience.
Digital Audio Input for TV and/or Blu-ray Disc™ Player
The A-S301 is outfitted with digital audio input, featuring both optical and coaxial terminals. The optical terminal is designed to receive audio from a TV, while the coaxial terminal is intended for receiving audio from a Blu-ray player. By keeping the audio in the digital domain, this setup ensures pure, pristine, and dynamic sound reproduction for all your entertainment sources, whether it's sports, TV programs, movies, or concerts.
Connection for YBA-11 Bluetooth® Wireless Adapter (Optional Accessory)
With the YBA-11, you can effortlessly stream music wirelessly from a Bluetooth-capable mobile phone or PC to the Network receiver. Leveraging the digital connection and aptX® audio coding algorithm, you'll experience wireless music streaming with optimal sound quality. Additionally, you can conveniently power the YBA-11 via the DC-out connection on the rear panel of the amplifier, ensuring a seamless and hassle-free setup.
Speaker A, B or A+B Selection and Speaker Terminals for Two Systems
You can connect two separate speaker systems and hear them in different rooms at the same time. There are four terminals, so by just rotating a simple selector dial you can switch between the two pairs of speakers to play the selected source.
Subwoofer Terminal
A terminal for connecting a subwoofer is provided, allowing you to increase the bass output of your system for a more powerful sound with better overall sound quality.
Phono MM Terminal
You can connect a turntable with a MM phono cartridge to play vinyl records. Get the best of both worlds whether listening to analog vinyl or the latest digital technology.
Simple Yet Sophisticated Design
With a beautiful, simple, and distinctive design directly inherited from Yamaha Hi-Fi audio components, this amplifier also features an easy-to-operate layout. The aluminum front panel is adorned with a richly textured silver hairline finish.
Remote Control with Clean, Simple Design
The clean, simple design of the remote control provides easy to understand operation with a single hand. The design makes it simple to adjust inputs, volume and more. The unit has a sophisticated looking hairline finish that matches the design of the amplifiers. You can also use the remote to control a Yamaha CD player.
Rotary Encoder Input Selector with LEDs
The rotary encoder makes it quick and easy to select input sources. The luxurious hairline finish offers a nice tactile feeling. LEDs clearly show which source is selected so you can easily switch sources, even in a dark room
Auto Power Standby Function
When Auto Power Standby is engaged the amplifier will automatically shift itself into standby mode when a user function has not been executed in eight hours. This a great function if you forget to turn the amplifier off and it will help minimize power consumption when the unit is not in use.
