Product Description:
The NAD C 379 represents 50 years of audio excellence, epitomizing the qualities of the Classic Series amplifier. Upholding NAD's legacy of simplicity, value, and innovation, the C 379 incorporates the latest MDC technology, delivering 80 watts per channel through its HybridDigital™ UcD amplification. Additionally, it features a high-performance ESS SABRE DAC, allowing music enthusiasts to enjoy exceptional sonic detail and clarity.
Maximum Power and Performance
Every aspect of the C 379 amplifier design has been meticulously refined to achieve maximum performance. Utilizing a customized version of the reliable HybridDigital UcD output stage, the C 379 operates in a fully balanced bridge configuration. This design ensures substantial power output with nearly undetectable distortion and noise within the audible range. The power supply delivers a continuous 80 watts and can provide over 120 watts instantaneously for short-term musical transients. Furthermore, the C 379 can be bridged in mono with the C 268 to deliver up to 300 watts per channel of distortion-free sound for even greater power.
Brilliant Musicality and Detail
The digital architecture of the C 379 is centered around the highly regarded ESS SABRE™ ES9028 DAC, a top-tier 32-bit digital-to-analog converter known for its exceptional dynamic range and ultra-low distortion. This ensures ultra-high-quality music playback, eliminating clock jitter typically found in digital audio systems. The outcome is an exceptionally wide dynamic range, ultra-low distortion, precise soundstage, and unparalleled clarity.
Future-Proof Flexibility
Since 2006, NAD has pioneered providing users with the flexibility to add features as new A/V technologies emerge, ensuring unmatched performance and value. Now, with the second generation of NAD’s Modular Design Construction (MDC) technology, the C 379 stands in a league of its own. It includes two MDC2 slots, allowing users to upgrade the amplifier's capabilities with the latest A/V technologies and additional features, such as BluOS™ high-resolution multi-room streaming and Dirac Live Room Correction.
The Power of BluOS
With the optional MDC2 BluOS-D module, the C 379 can be enhanced with Dirac Live, BluOS, Apple AirPlay 2, two-way aptX™ HD Bluetooth, and more. BluOS allows the C 379 to connect to a home network via Wi-Fi or Ethernet, providing access to the most advanced multi-room wireless music management system with 24-bit/192kHz resolution. The BluOS app, available for smartphone, tablet, or desktop, manages the digital music collection and connects to over 20 high-quality streaming music services, including Tidal, Deezer, Qobuz, Amazon Music, and Spotify.
Connect Everything
The C 379 is outfitted with a diverse array of analog and digital connectivity options, including aptX HD Bluetooth, HDMI eARC, an MM phono stage, and two subwoofer outputs. The aptX HD feature supports 24-bit streaming from any Bluetooth-enabled device, while HDMI eARC enables connection to a TV for seamless control using an existing remote. Additionally, the C 379 boasts a built-in high-performance headphone amplifier with low output impedance and high output voltage capability, capable of driving a wide range of headphones.
