Product Description: 

High-resolution audio begins at the wall and continues through each component’s power supply. In developing the Limited Edition Galileo SX PowerCell for 2021, Synergistic Research started with an entirely new regulated power supply incorporating the latest UEF Technology. Multiple transformer constructions and materials, including C Core and toroidal designs, were compared in double-blind listening tests. Surprisingly, the best toroidal transformers sounded more spatially closed compared to top-tier C Core transformers. The transformer windings were then conditioned using the Long Duration High Voltage process first developed for the flagship SRX cable loom. Various DC rectification schemes and capacitors were also tested and treated with UEF technology until a power supply was perfected, elevating the Galileo SX PowerCell to state-of-the-art performance. Building on this, new power supplies for the Tranquility Bases, Tranquility Pods, and FEQ Carbon were engineered using Galileo SX technology, housed in a solid billet aircraft aluminum chassis for thermal management, topped with carbon fiber to disrupt mechanical resonance from stereo speakers.

With a Tranquility UEF Power Supply powering Tranquility Bases and Tranquility Pods, the system’s soundstage expands in size and scale. Low frequencies gain impact and control, while overall resolution improves due to a lower system noise floor.
