Product Description: 

Foundation SX speaker cables were engineered to showcase core Synergistic Research technologies in their purest and most accessible form. The goal was to make a complete loom attainable for audiophiles who might not otherwise take that step. When used together, the Foundation SX loom acts as a performance multiplier, delivering expansive soundstaging, a lowered noise floor, greater dynamics, and engaging musicality that far exceed the series’ price point.

Drawing from our highest-performance designs, Foundation SX can also be seamlessly mixed with Atmosphere SX, Galileo Discovery, and SRX while maintaining the loom effect for systems where a full investment in upper-tier families isn’t practical. Each cable begins with Air String geometries, using pure silver monofilament conductors in an air dielectric for natural staging and detail, paired with heavy-gauge copper matrix conductors for deep, controlled bass.

To push performance further, we apply the UEF Compound originally developed for SRX, lowering the noise floor and enhancing both resolution and musicality. Every cable is also treated with our Long Duration High Voltage Conditioning Process—delivering holographic scale, accuracy, and musical balance. Finally, each set includes UEF Carbon Tuning Discs, giving you the flexibility to voice Foundation SX to your system—or run them clean. The choice is yours.

UEF Matrix Shield with Graphene Matrix Shielding

The original Atmosphere X Series began as an experiment in advancing UEF Shielding by positioning UEF elements at strategic grid points along the shields—an approach that became known as Matrix Shielding. This design lowered the noise floor by arranging UEF elements in a grid pattern across the shield.

With Atmosphere SX, Matrix Shielding has been refined even further through the introduction of Carbon Fiber UEF Tuning Discs, created specifically for this series. These discs enhance the loom’s ability to cancel noise that would otherwise lead to harsh or fatiguing high frequencies. As a result, Atmosphere SX delivers greater holographic scale, improved resolution, and heightened musicality—pushing the boundaries of what UEF Shielding can achieve.

Quantum Tunneling—SRX Long Duration High Voltage Conditioning

First developed for the flagship SRX series, the new high-voltage conditioning process uses an extended sweeping frequency plot applied over long durations. During development, dozens of frequency combinations were tested before arriving at the ideal formula, and a new Tesla Coil was engineered to manage the heat generated during these extended sessions. The result is a conditioning process that delivers holographic realism and timbral accuracy well beyond what was possible with the earlier Tesla Coil protocol.

Included Carbon Tuning Discs—Tune to Perfection

Included with Foundation SX and SR30 interconnects, speaker cables, and power cables, Carbon Tuning Discs (\$199.95 MSRP) originate from the Atmosphere SX Loom, where they are strategically placed inside cables to help shape the SX sonic signature. Built on Synergistic Research’s patented UEF technology, each disc is infused with a specialized UEF compound that interacts with surrounding EM fields to elevate performance. The conductive carbon fiber structure amplifies this interaction, further enhancing the effect. Gold Carbon Tuning Discs enrich harmonic density while adding clarity for a more holographic and lifelike soundstage. Purple Carbon Tuning Discs, treated with a different UEF compound, extend clarity and soundstage openness even further than Gold.
