The newly introduced Nd7 moving magnet cartridge, a product of over a decade of development, is designed to push the boundaries of moving magnet technology, offering next-level performance. The Nd range, currently patent pending, is the first in the world to incorporate ultra-high powered Neodymium magnets into a moving magnet design, resulting in a truly unique and innovative cartridge.

Advanced Moving Magnet

Each Nd7 cartridge is meticulously handcrafted by skilled technicians to ensure the highest quality. It features the most advanced “fine line” nude diamond profile, designed for unparalleled detail retrieval. This same profile is used in high-end MC models like the Apheta 3 and Aphelion 2. The diamond, made from monocrystalline manmade material, has exceptionally small radii—3 microns on the minor axis as viewed from the top, and 30 microns vertically when viewed from the front. This precision profile allows the stylus to adapt swiftly to minute changes in the vinyl surface, resulting in the extraction of exceptional levels of detail.

The Nd7’s design incorporates brand-new generator geometry with perfect symmetry, achieving highly accurate channel balance. An optimized pole gap further enhances linearity and reduces cross talk, delivering a significantly wider soundstage than previous models. The cartridge is built with miniaturized parallel coils, carefully wound in-house using 38-micron wire with 1,275 turns. This results in a low inductance, low impedance generator that significantly improves high-frequency response. Reflecting a commitment to sustainability, the entire Nd range comes in 100% recyclable packaging.

Nd Magnet technology

Commonly employed in Moving Coil designs, including those from this brand, the Nd7 is the first moving magnet cartridge to utilize a Neodymium (Nd) N55 magnet. As the most powerful commercially available magnet, it is a critical element that enables the unique design of the Nd7, providing greater power compared to traditional bar magnet designs.

Glass filled PPS body

The Nd7 cartridge is encased in a zero-tolerance injection-molded body made from glass-filled polyphenylene sulphide (PPS), a material renowned for its lightweight and high rigidity. The low-mass design minimizes stress on tonearm bearings and supports smooth movement, which is essential for precise vinyl playback. This innovative body design draws inspiration from the brand’s highly successful MC range.

Cantilever & stylus profile

Rega rebuild scheme

Rega cartridges feature a unique pivot pad design that enhances performance by removing the mechanical joint between the stylus housing and the main body. If a Rega cartridge becomes damaged or worn, customers can return it to a Rega dealer, who will provide a rebuilt cartridge with a new cantilever, stylus, and pivot pad.
