The V5 Sigmas represents a significant leap forward from its EVO3 predecessor. With seven-way mains power cleaning capabilities, it features three high-current outlets powered by a refined version of the V5 Titan’s Direct-Coupled© circuit. These outlets deliver ultra-high current, low impedance power ideal for amplifiers, subwoofers, active loudspeakers, and even modern TVs and projectors. The remaining four output sockets cater to medium-current source components. Each outlet boasts its own dedicated clean power network, effectively offering seven power cleaners in a single box.

By offering robust protection against power surges and voltage spikes, the V5 Sigmas not only enhances the performance of a complete high-end audio system but also ensures its longevity.

Design

The V5 Sigmas stands as a groundbreaking component, boasting a power cleaning and distribution system that measures 445mm in width, 305mm in depth, and 150mm in height. It represents a significant advancement from the Aquarius and its EVO3 predecessor, offering over a 35% improvement in amperage and a 40% increase in current handling capability, resulting in a remarkable enhancement in performance. With improved direct current resistance (DCR) throughout its new design, the V5 Sigmas achieves performance levels closer to the ideal zero Ohms.

Featuring seven power cleaners within one box, each outlet operates with its own dedicated clean power network, effectively reducing both Differential Mode and Common Mode noise. The design minimizes cross-contamination among connected components by employing multiple power cleaning stages for each output socket, a notable departure from conventional power filters that often run outlets in series, leading to unwanted noise transmission.

The V5 Sigmas comprises three high-current low-impedance outlets, rated at 16A, capable of delivering 3,680W at 230V or 1,840W at 115V, suitable for a wide range of power amplifiers, active loudspeakers, subwoofers, and modern TVs. These outlets feature a streamlined version of the Titan’s Direct Coupled© circuit. Additionally, four medium-current outputs, rated at 10A, cater to source components and utilize IsoTek’s Adaptive Gating© technology to provide optimal clean power based on power draw.

Ensuring equal resistance and power delivery to all outlets, the KERP© (Kirchhoff’s Equal Resistance Path) technology enhances performance consistency. The internal wiring boasts ultra-pure Ohno Continuous Cast copper solid core conductor strands with silver-plating, offering low resistance and high amperage. Further enhancing performance, a Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene (FEP) helix surrounds the conductor before an extruded FEP dielectric is applied, creating a Virtual Dielectric of Air (FDA) for optimal power delivery.

With 121,500A of instantaneous protection provided through IsoTek’s unique sequential and repeatable protection system, the V5 Sigmas ensures the safeguarding of valuable equipment against power surges and voltage spikes.
