Sbooster Ultra MkII Upgrade Product Description:
Upgrade Your Audio Equipment further with the Ultra MKII
The Sbooster Ultra MKII is an active upgrade designed to enhance the performance of the BOTW P&P ECO MKI and MKII linear power supply solutions. Tailored for audio equipment that is particularly sensitive to residual noise, such as digital-to-analog converters, music streamers, USB to SPDIF converters, and pre- and phono amplifiers, the Ultra MKII provides a significant improvement in sound quality. It’s a must-have addition for every audiophile seeking to achieve the highest level of audio performance.
Features
- Innovative Electronic Design: The Sbooster Ultra MKII filters and optimizes the input power, fine-tuning it within the audible range to improve audio performance.
- Buffer and Capacitors: The Ultra MKII circuit utilizes input and output buffers and solid conductive polymer capacitors to reduce output ripple and expand the bandwidth of the filter circuit.
- Improved Transient Response: Compared to the Ultra MKI, the transient response has improved by 40-50%. This is achieved by adding new components and reducing the output impedance to a minimum. The output circuit now includes an impedance correction filter for enhanced performance across a wider frequency range.
- Innovative "Sbooster Decoy": To combat noise from metal enclosures, the "Sbooster Decoy" lures unwanted noise out of the audio device’s metal casing. This electronic baiting container eliminates noise that would otherwise remain trapped within the enclosure, improving sound clarity.
- Star-Ground Design: The Ultra MKII features a star-ground design, where nearly every component has its own dedicated ground connection. This design enhances stability and contributes to a smoother, more effortless musical experience.
- Connectivity: The Sbooster Ultra MKII must be connected directly to the Sbooster split-current module of the BOTW P&P ECO. Its cables are designed solely to pass on the benefits of both the BOTW P&P ECO and the Ultra MKII without any interference. These high-quality cables use oxygen-free copper conductors, double shielding, and custom-made gold-plated interchangeable DC connectors for the cleanest possible signal transmission to the audio device.
The Sbooster Ultra is designed for audio equipment sensitive to residual noise, including digital-to-analog converters, music streamers, USB to SPDIF converters, and pre- and phono amplifiers.
To determine if your audio device is compatible with the Sbooster Ultra upgrade, please refer to our compatibility list.
Note: The Ultra is not compatible with high-current demanding devices, such as Intel NUCs and NAS systems.
The Sbooster Ultra uses an active filter technique, and the electronics require power to operate. As a result, the BOTW P&P ECO power supply must be set to a higher DC-output voltage.

Music streamers and external HDD
The Sbooster Ultra is designed to provide highly purified power to a single audio device. Often, external USB-powered hard drives are connected to the USB port of music streamers. In such cases, the music streamer powers the USB device through the USB port, which increases the power demand on the BOTW P&P ECO. Consequently, the Sbooster Ultra must purify more power to accommodate this extra load. If this additional load exceeds the maximum capacity of the Sbooster Ultra, the combination will not be suitable for the additional Sbooster Ultra upgrade.
