Product Highlights

The Whest Two.2 Discrete is a solid-state dual-mono MM/MC phono preamplifier featuring six selectable gain settings from 43dB to 70dB, six load options from 100 to 47k ohms, and a wideband frequency response of 5Hz to 76kHz. Functioning as a high-resolution gateway for ambitious analog front-ends, this unit uncovers subtle groove textures with uncompromising neutrality. An all-discrete, ultra-low-noise Class-A input stage uses fifty parallel transistors to lower noise, an approach adapted from reference studio hardware. High-voltage power rails deliver effortless dynamic headroom, allowing low-output moving coil cartridges to thrive without an external step-up transformer. Rear connections include audiophile RCA inputs, a sturdy grounding post, standard RCA outputs, and balanced XLR outs.

Stereo Mojo honored the design lineage with a Maximum Mojo Award for exceptional value and acoustic honesty. Reviewers across HiFi and Records and AudioNZ praise its expansive soundstage, pinpoint stereo imaging, and remarkably silent background. Critics consistently highlight how its electrostatic-fast transient response and organic tonal balance resolve dense passages without fatigue.

Integrating this phono stage into your audio system strips away veil, revealing the authentic rhythmic drive and spatial depth captured in every record. By safeguarding micro-dynamic nuances from input to output, it brings your turntable setup into vivid focus for an engaging, lifelike listening experience.
