Product Description:
Timing errors can be introduced by various factors, including cables, which is why the Series 6 USB cables are meticulously designed to address this issue. Employing precision twisting techniques similar to those used in high-end HDMI cables—where timing is also critical—these cables are engineered to be low-jitter and specifically intended for audio use. The 6USB cables feature heavy gauge signal conductors that reduce resistance and significantly enhance signal transfer, thereby minimizing potential timing errors.
Given that USB operates at high frequencies, with signal frequencies in the GHz range, Tributaries has added silver plating to improve signal transfer and minimize loss due to the skin effect. The power conductors are also of a larger gauge to ensure sufficient current is delivered to USB audio devices. Additionally, the signal conductors are separately shielded to prevent noise on the power lines from interfering with the signal path. An additional double set of shields isolates the entire cable from external EMI and RFI.
