Product Highlights

SPL Phonitor XE Headphone Amplifier delivers output power up to 2 x 5 watts into 250 ohms and 2 x 2.7 watts into 600 ohms, utilizing proprietary VOLTAir 120-volt rail technology to drive high-impedance headphones with effortless headroom. Built in Germany, this amplifier features front and rear balanced XLR and 6.3mm TRS outputs, dual VU meters, and an analog Phonitor Matrix. The Matrix offers crossfeed and angle controls to replicate loudspeaker soundstaging and eliminate listening fatigue. With a toroidal power supply, ultra-low output impedance, and support for optional DAC modules up to 768kHz PCM and DSD256, it is a flagship audio centerpiece.

Professional reviewers and users praise this amplifier for its transparent, neutral sound signature and deep power reserves. Critics highlight the acoustic realism of the Phonitor Matrix, which eliminates in-head localization and creates a three-dimensional soundstage without altering source purity. Owners highlight its robust build quality, silent noise floor, and ability to easily drive sensitive in-ears as well as demanding planar magnetics. Its reputation for exceptional reliability and resolution makes it a benchmark across pro and audiophile circles.

Investing in high-end personal audio demands amplification that unveils every detail while keeping playback natural. Studio-grade engineering, massive power delivery, and revolutionary spatial processing make this unit an ideal desktop command center. Adding this masterwork to your system delivers an immersive, speaker-like performance that reveals the true depth of your music collection.
