Product Highlights

The Rogue Audio RP-9 v1 is a flagship tube preamplifier featuring four 6H30P dual triodes in a balanced mu-follower topology, delivering a 1Hz to 170kHz frequency response and an output impedance under 10 ohms. Acting as the command center for reference audio systems, this hand-built component preserves complete dynamic scale while driving any power amplifier. Connectivity provides two balanced XLR input pairs, three RCA line pairs, dual balanced XLR outputs, two variable RCA pairs, and home theater bypass. An atypical inclusion is its high-power two-watt tube headphone stage, paired with a defeatable OLED display and an aluminum remote.

Critical acclaim earned the preamplifier a Blue Note Award from Enjoy the Music, with reviewers celebrating its expansive dynamic contrast and lifelike transparency. Evaluations highlight a dimensional soundstage, praise its fast instrumental decay, and commend its organic tonal weight across complex musical passages. Press coverage consistently notes that its quiet operation unites natural tube warmth with the focus and bass control of solid-state gear.

Integrating this preamplifier into your signal chain reveals nuanced micro-details and authentic three-dimensional depth across every beloved recording. By delivering clean signal transfer with effortless authority, it brings listeners into direct, intimate contact with the recorded performance. For the discerning enthusiast, this component establishes an engaging foundation for reference-level listening.
