PS Audio PMG Signature SACD Transport

PS Audio PMG Signature SACD Transport is a reference optical disc transport capable of playing SACD, CD, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD audio data discs, and USB storage with format support for MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV, FLAC, AIFF, ALAC, and DSD or double-rate DSD files. Designed as a flagship memory player, it features a galvanically isolated output stage that physically and electrically decouples the drive mechanism from the signal path to eliminate noise and jitter. Built with an advanced Digital Lens buffer, robust chassis-within-a-chassis construction, and comprehensive outputs—including I2S for streaming raw, uncompressed DSD directly to a DAC, alongside dual XLR, dual BNC, and coaxial RCA—it extracts data with bit-perfect precision.

Reviewers and audio critics consistently praise the unit for delivering an exceptionally black background and a virtually nonexistent noise floor that allows subtle micro-details to surface naturally. Listeners highlight its staggering gains in soundstage transparency, 3D image separation, and effortless dynamics, noting that standard CDs sound remarkably close to high-resolution files while SACDs achieve unprecedented realism. The native DSD extraction over I2S is frequently celebrated as a transformative revelation for digital music collections.

Investing in this unit ensures every subtle nuance locked inside your optical collection is finally fully realized with master-tape fidelity. Its groundbreaking isolation technology and raw DSD output offer a definitive solution for any audio enthusiast wanting to hear their digital library with absolute purity, warmth, and resolution.
