About Pro-Ject Leather it Turntable Mat (Closeout / Mint)

Specifications: 300 mm diameter, 2 mm thickness, genuine leather construction, and universal compatibility with standard 12-inch platters. The Pro-Ject Leather it turntable mat is an elevated acoustic upgrade designed to replace standard felt or rubber mats. Engineered to decouple vinyl records from the platter, it dampens mechanical and metal resonances while eliminating static electricity buildup that attracts dust. Its non-slip surface grips records securely, protecting them from micro-scratches and delivering optimal stability during playback. User reviews highlight a clear improvement in overall sound quality, frequently noting tighter bass, reduced surface noise, and smoother highs. Audiophiles praise its ability to eliminate the annoying static cling common with standard felt mats, making record changing effortless. Listeners also emphasize its durable craftsmanship and accurate fit, confirming that it reduces unwanted platter chatter while enhancing background quietness across a wide range of turntable setups. Replacing a factory mat with high-density leather is one of the simplest, most effective tweaks to extract richer detail and cleaner acoustic dynamics from your record collection. By damping resonant feedback directly at the vinyl interface and eliminating static pops, this mat ensures your system retrieves every nuance embedded in the groove with effortless clarity.
