Product Highlights

Preamplifier comes with two 1m Revelation Audio Labs 'Passage' CryoSilver Reference umbilical cables ($429 value each).

The Pass Labs XP-32 is a flagship solid-state line preamplifier featuring 9.6dB of balanced gain, six inputs, four outputs, and a three-chassis architectural layout. Serving as an uncompromising control center for reference setups, it isolates left and right audio channels into two dedicated chassis while housing the power supply in a third enclosure. This component runs a high-bias Class-A topology with auto-bias to effortlessly drive long cable runs and demanding loads. Direct-coupled inputs eliminate coupling capacitors to maximize transparency, while precision attenuators adjust volume in accurate 0.5dB steps. Secondary volume controls on the audio chassis also enable precise output balancing for bi-amped systems.

Critical consensus consistently honors this model, securing its place on the Stereophile Recommended Components list. Reviewers praise its extraordinary transparency and quiet background, noting how it unearths subtle details without adding upper-frequency glare. Industry experts highlight its holographic soundstage expansion and dynamic authority, praising its ability to make complex musical passages feel effortless.

Integrating this preamplifier into your system establishes total signal purity, allowing source gear and power amplifiers to perform at their absolute peak. It provides an organic presentation that brings newfound depth and emotional realism to every album. For the dedicated listener, this component represents the ultimate foundation for reference-grade playback.

Cosmetic Rating

7 - Good cosmetic condition with some minor visible cosmetic wear including a tiny nick on the faceplate of one preamplifier unit, and some slight scratches and blemishes on the tops of each chassis.
