About Nagaoka CLP-02 Record Label Protector
An acrylic protector designed to protect the paper label at the center of a record from water when washing the record.
There are methods of cleaning records using cleaning spray or a cleaner brush, but washing with water using this product is particularly effective for records with heavy dirt and grime.
Reflecting requests and suggestions for improvement received from users, the screw section of the handle has been enlarged and redesigned for easier gripping, resulting in a design that makes cleaning easier. In addition, flattening the shape of the screw section makes it possible to set the LP record down while it is still attached. Furthermore, the acrylic protector section has been made as thin as possible to reduce weight. This change reduces the burden on the handle during cleaning and makes drying after cleaning easier.
Replacement rubber gaskets and rubber sheets are included in case the rubber gasket section deteriorates after long-term use.
To use, place the product over both sides of the record so that it covers the record label, then tighten the screw to protect the label from water.
A rubber gasket is fitted around the circumference of the protector, and rubber sheets are fitted around the screw holes to prevent water infiltration. This securely fixes the protector while preventing damage caused by water reaching the label.
