Product Description:
Redesign of a Classic
The original Nu-Vista 800 amplifier has long been favored as a top-tier hybrid integrated model. Introducing a modernized front plate and an entirely revamped display, the Nu-Vista 800.2 aligns with the updated Nu-Vista product design. To accommodate these changes, upgrades were made to the power supply circuits and electronic control systems, which also facilitated the addition of a long-awaited remote on/standby function.
Improved Circuit Design
Having taken inspiration from Musical Fidelity’s TITAN, the new design features capacitors placed near the output transistors, resulting in stored energy that is readily accessible via a lower impedance pathway. This produces enhanced transient response and improved ripple filtering at higher currents. The primary supply capacitors, located near the rectifiers, further reduce supply impedance, effectively isolating rectification and hum noise from the high-gain PA circuit.
The transformers have also been rewound, and are less prone to mains DC noise thanks to a lower standing flux.
Uncompromising Build Quality
The Nu-Vista 800.2 embodies Musical Fidelity's unwavering commitment to rigid, quality construction. Crafted from milled extruded aluminum profiles, the front panel and side panels are massive, ensuring isolation from environmental vibrations. Additionally, the robust aluminum casing acts as a Faraday cage, shielding the internal components from external electromagnetic fields and safeguarding other HiFi equipment from the unit's own electromagnetic field.
