Product Description: 

The M6xTT builds upon the foundational design principles of the iconic M1 turntable, now integrated into the M6 series. Originally conceived by Musical Fidelity founder Antony Michaelson and Heinz Lichtenegger—then the brand's distributor and now its owner—the M1 was crafted to harmonize visually and mechanically with the brand's exceptional amplifiers. This innovative design combined the inert mass of metal alloys with the non-resonant properties of acrylic, ensuring optimal performance. 

Featuring a dual-chassis construction, the M6xTT effectively isolates the motor from the tonearm and platter, minimizing unwanted vibrations. Following the success of the M8xTT, the M6xTT introduces a more accessible version of this sophisticated design philosophy, bringing high-end audio performance to a broader audience.

The Tonearm

The 9-inch tonearm featured in the M6xTT is derived from the M8xTT's design but incorporates a shorter tonearm tube, a refined headshell design, and a direct 5P DIN output for enhanced performance. It employs an ultra-low resonance design, combining a transparent acrylic bearing ring with a conical aluminum tonearm tube to deliver precision and stability. 

Fully adjustable for both VTA and azimuth, the tonearm ensures optimal alignment and playback accuracy. Additionally, it includes two TPE-damped counterweights, effectively minimizing resonances for superior audio fidelity.

Motor & Platter

The motor of the M6xTT is expertly housed on a specialized foam layer within the lower-level acrylic plinth, effectively isolating it from the platter and tonearm to reduce vibrations. The integrated electronic speed control enables seamless switching between 33 and 45 RPM, offering convenience and precision.  

Borrowing the advanced speed control technology of the M8xTT, the M6xTT uses a precision DC-driven AC generator to ensure exceptional speed accuracy and stability. By generating frequency and voltage independently of mains power quality, the system delivers flawless playback speeds regardless of external conditions.  

A single-piece, glue-free belt connects the motor to the TPE-damped aluminum platter, which boasts an impressive weight of 6.6 kg. This robust design guarantees stability and superior rotational consistency for unparalleled audio performance.

Feet

Four heavyweight TPE damped aluminium feet with magnetic support connect the two acrylic plinths with Teflon spacers in between.

You can adjust them in height by turning the riffled middle part of the feet to level the turntable.

In The Box

You will find a heavyweight full aluminium puck in the box to stabilize your records while playing to achieve the best possible tracking.

A leather turntable mat is also included, which is a superior base for your vinyl records. You will benefit from less noise and a special sound characteristic.

To connect your M6xTT to your preamplifier, a semi-balanced phono interconnect cable with gold-plated connectors is included as well.
