Product Highlights

The Luxman CL-38uC is a tube control preamplifier featuring a built-in MM/MC phono stage and an all-tube signal path powered by three ECC83S and five ECC82 vacuum tubes. Serves as a sophisticated command center for high-end analog and digital audio systems. It employs a Shunt Regulated Push-Pull circuit topology across all gain stages to deliver uncompromising signal linearity, ultra-low output impedance, and extended valve longevity. The internal phono stage utilizes four independent step-up transformers with selectable high and low impedance settings to extract delicate micro-details from moving coil cartridges. Housed in a classic wooden enclosure, this component features balanced XLR inputs with dedicated transformers, switchable bass and treble tone controls with flexible turnover frequencies, a low-cut filter, and a tone defeat switch.

Stereophile named it a Class A Recommended Component, with reviewer Art Dudley calling it an exceptional value. Audio critics praise its natural warmth, three-dimensional soundstage, and lifelike midrange realism. Reviews consistently highlight the ultra-quiet background of its internal phono preamplifier and its effortless, non-fatiguing musicality.

Integrating this control amplifier into your home setup restores rich analog textures while maintaining complete signal clarity across every input. It offers music lovers a timeless combination of heritage Japanese engineering, refined control, and deeply engaging acoustic realism.
