Product Highlights

Firmware: v0.64.529.0

Specifications: Readable disc formats include SACD, CD, CD-R, and CD-RW. Supported streaming services and resolutions include PCM up to 24-bit/384kHz, DSD64, DSD128, DXD, and MQA via TIDAL, Qobuz, Deezer, Spotify Connect, Internet Radio, Apple AirPlay, Roon Ready, and UPnP. The dCS Rossini APEX SACD/CD Player combines a precision disc transport, network streamer, and APEX Ring DAC into an acoustically damped aluminum chassis. Driven by an FPGA processing platform, it offers user-selectable filters, internal upsampling, variable output levels, and dCS Mosaic app control.

Audio reviewers praise the Rossini APEX for its extraordinary dynamic expression, expansive soundstage, and fluid, analog-like presentation. Listening tests highlight the APEX Ring DAC topology for delivering remarkable micro-detail, punchy bass, and zero digital fatigue. Critics consistently acclaim its seamless integration of disc playback and streaming, noting its transparent musicality as a reference benchmark.

Choosing a top-tier digital front-end often forces a choice between physical media and streaming, but this component unifies both into one uncompromised unit. It simplifies your audio setup while extracting maximum emotional depth, detail, and dynamics from your entire music collection. For audiophiles seeking an endgame digital source that renders every disc and stream with breathtaking realism, this player is the ideal investment.
