The Performance DC AiR Wood elevates our popular Performance DC AiR turntable with more technology from our higher tier Ovation and Innovation series turntables.
A mass-loaded Baltic birch plinth gives the Performance DC Wood a stunning visual appearance while controlling resonance. Sandwiched between two massive anodized aluminum plates, the natural wood laminated core creates a modern look with either the silver or black anodize top and bottom structures. Mass loading the plinth, as we do in the Ovation, and using three Innovation series locking/leveling aluminum cone feet provides a stable foundation and acoustic isolation.
The Performance DC AiR Wood incorporates a precision machined aluminum sub-platter fitted to a 40mm-thick POM platter, Clearaudio’s patented, ultra-smooth Ceramic Magnetic Bearing (CMB), and a decoupled DC motor with electronic speed selection. The Performance DC AiR Wood’s 33, 45, and 78 rpm speeds are selected by blue illuminated buttons, ergonomically integrated into the front left of the chassis. Precision adjustability is possible for each speed via user-accessible trim pots. The Performance DC AiR Wood’s interchangeable armboard design can easily accommodate our Tracer tonearm, Satisfy Carbon Fiber tonearm, TT-5 linear arm, and a variety of other high-end tonearms.
