Product Description:
Dubbed the "Sweet Spot" within its lineup, the Ovation turntable from Clearaudio stands out for integrating elite technology from the acclaimed Innovation series.
At its core, the Ovation showcases a sophisticated design with a main chassis made from a complex layering of heavy-duty machined aluminum and bulletproof Panzerholz wood. This construction is enhanced with an innovative damping system that uses internal mass-loading tiles filled with tiny stainless-steel pellets, effectively mitigating resonance. Stability and sonic purity are further ensured through the use of three aluminum cone feet from the Innovation series, designed for locking/leveling, thus providing a solid base and superior acoustic isolation.
Unique among its peers for its traditional dimensions, the Ovation employs a robust 24v DC motor alongside Clearaudio’s proprietary OSC (Optical Speed Control) technology. This system utilizes an infrared sensor to constantly monitor an engraved strobe, guaranteeing precise speed consistency through both passive and active regulation. The meticulous engineering extends to a precision-machined aluminum sub-platter and a 40mm POM (polyoxymethylene) platter with a weighted rim, all resting atop Clearaudio’s patented Ceramic Magnetic Bearing (CMB).
The Ovation is offered with the Clearaudio Tracer tonearm for remarkable value or the Clearaudio Universal 9 tonearm for the pinnacle of performance. It also features versatile armboards that support a range of other 9-inch tonearms, including the AMG 9WT, SME, and Triplanar, allowing for extensive customization.
