Product Description:
The Alto is a meticulously engineered headphone and nearfield monitor amplifier, capable of driving up to four pairs of headphones or smaller loudspeakers. It is also our first product to feature a 4.4 mm Pentaconn TRRRS output (pseudo balanced), reflecting the growing popularity of balanced transmission in high-end headphones.
Equipped with four fascia-mounted headphone outputs, the Alto utilizes powered ULTIMA technology to deliver exceptional clarity. Outputs include one 3.5 mm, two 6.35 mm (1/4-inch), and a single 4.4 mm Pentaconn, enabling effortless A/B comparisons and simultaneous listening for multiple users.
For loudspeakers, the Alto delivers 25 watts into 8 ohms (50 watts into 4 ohms) with the transparency, speed, and low distortion that ULTIMA amplifiers are known for. Stereo banana plug outputs on the rear panel accommodate nearly all speaker connections.
The ULTIMA topology incorporates dual-feed-forward error-correction technology, continuously monitoring and correcting signals before they reach the output stage.
Compact yet powerful, the Alto is slightly larger than the A5, making it ideal for desktop setups, living spaces, or dedicated hi-fi systems.
