{"product_id":"cec-tl5-belt-drive-cd-transport-upgraded-stabilizer","title":"CEC TL5 Belt-Drive CD Transport; Upgraded Stabilizer","description":"The CEC TL5 is a dedicated belt-drive CD transport featuring a top-loading mechanism, a heavy 330-gram brass disc stabilizer, and digital outputs including AES\/EBU, coaxial, and optical. Designed to serve as the reference digital source in high-end systems, this component decouples the motor from the main spindle to eliminate motor vibration and electromagnetic interference. A smooth sliding top cover replaces motor-driven drawers to eliminate mechanical noise, while direct-mounted rear terminals ensure the shortest possible signal path. Additionally, the user-replaceable drive belt system allows for simple, long-term ownership maintenance without factory service.\n\nCritical consensus for this transport emphasizes its organic, analog-like presentation, praising its exceptional timing and fluid musical coherence across complex recordings. Outlets like Part-Time Audiophile honored it with a Reviewer's Choice award, highlighting its ability to reveal subtle instrumental textures against an exceptionally quiet background. Reviewers for Hi-Fi+ and HiFi Pig commend its expansive soundstage and effortless dynamic flow, noting that it outperforms conventional direct-drive transports.\n\nIntegrating this transport into a high-end digital front end restores the physical presence and natural harmonic warmth often lost in file-based playback. It provides serious audio enthusiasts with a sophisticated, highly engaging foundation that unlocks the complete musical potential of a physical compact disc library.","brand":"CEC","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":53258533077273,"sku":"93257","price":2199.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0844\/4225\/1545\/files\/93257-3.jpg?v=1790650513","url":"https:\/\/tmraudio.com\/products\/cec-tl5-belt-drive-cd-transport-upgraded-stabilizer","provider":"The Music Room","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
