The new Transmission front plate combines the proven circular high-frequency system with a modern, square-shaped outer contour. Inspired by premium watch design, it creates an exciting interplay between clean geometry and soft curves. The rounded edges of the front plate perfectly match the radii of the cabinet, blending harmoniously into the overall design.

The Vento 81’s cabinet is more than just an outer shell—it is the foundation of its acoustic precision. The rounded front panel, made of curved multilayer laminate, reduces full-range cabinet resonance and ensures a smooth, controlled soundstage. At the same time, the rounded baffle minimizes diffraction effects and supports precise spatial imaging with clear localization.

The Vento 81’s midrange and tweeter system is designed for maximum clarity and homogeneity. The midrange employs an ATB (Aluminum Titanium Black) system, which functions as an ideal piston driver and enables precise, natural reproduction. The high frequencies are handled by a high-quality BC (Black Ceramic) tweeter that reproduces the finest details cleanly and with minimal distortion. In combination with the optimized waveguide, the midrange and high frequencies are perfectly matched in the crossover region—for uniform directivity and a cohesive, precise soundstage.

Controlled Bass Performance

The low-frequency system of the Vento 81 is designed for deep, controlled bass and precise transient response. Powerful woofers with ATB diaphragms operate within an optimally tuned enclosure volume to create a stable and clearly structured bass foundation. The lightweight wave surround enables high excursion with minimal moving mass, reducing efficiency losses. The bass reflex system supports even and controlled low-frequency reproduction with impressive depth and precision. The system is further enhanced by Canton’s proprietary DC technology (Displacement Control). It reduces unwanted driver excursion caused by infrasonic frequencies below the audible range, effectively minimizing distortion. At the same time, the DC filter extends the usable low-frequency range and ensures particularly precise, controlled and tight bass reproduction.

Downfire: Bass that blends in

The Downfire bass reflex system utilizes its proximity to the floor for exceptionally even low-frequency distribution. The bass blends harmoniously into the room and remains controlled and precise even with different placements.
